Wine Women & Shoes 2017 – Richmond, VA

When I originally started this blog, I knew I wanted to connect with other women and help each other empower each other. I have such a great connection of blogger friends that truly help me through the day to day blogging wins and woes. While I had never heard about the Wine Women & Shoes event, I saw my friend Christina post about it and was immediately intrigued. I’m a woman, I love wine and shoes so clearly it’s a match made in heaven, right? But once I clicked the link and read more about the cause, I learned that it was really about so much more.

This event benefits the Bon Secours Forensic Nursing program. If you don’t know (I didn’t), Forensic Nurses collect evidence off of victims of physical violence including sexual assault and human trafficking. While this isn’t a topic that I typically discuss, it is a serious problem in our country and I am more than happy to use my platform to bring awareness to it.

All that to say, the event is a lighthearted evening of wine, a great group of women and shoes and a super fun silent auction! They will also have a lot of fun vendors like Kendra Scott and Superfun Yoga Pants and I even heard a rumor about a shoe contest so wear your best shoes!

The event is taking place this Sunday, October 22nd at the Hilton Richmond Hotel and Spa in Short Pump at 2:00pm. If you’re local to the Richmond area and would like to attend, there is still time to purchase a ticket but they won’t last long! Head to their website to purchase a ticket now.
