Ever since I was a little girl, like many other girls, I’ve loved wearing makeup. Growing up, I was only able to get whatever my Mom would buy me which was always from the drugstore because, kids. I was the Queen of some Wet ‘n Wild eye shadow with a white (what was I thinking?!) eyeliner pencil. And not to mention the blue eyeshadow and mascara days we all went through.
Side note: Why do girls now get to bypass the awkward blue eyeshadow days and go straight to contour palettes? Not fair I tell you!
As I got older, I pined after more high-end makeup so I went through a phase where everything had to be MAC, Bare Minerals or basically anything purchased from Sephora. While I still love and use high-end products, I eventually grew to realize that while the fancy stuff is great, drugstore stuff is just as good in most instances! After a lot of trial and error with finding which products I feel are my ride or die drugstore go-tos, I feel I need to share with the masses that you can achieve the same high-end look while not spending a couple hundred bucks at Sephora. Although I’ve done that too so I’m certainly not hating!

NYX Micro Brow Pencil
If you like makeup I am sure you have heard about the cult favorite Anastasia Brow Whiz eyebrow pencil. This NYX eyebrow pencil is an exact dupe for that pencil for half the price. I loved the Anastasia pencil but come on now, save yourself the cash and buy yourself some more makeup!

Rimmel BB Cream
On days when I just want to go run an errand but not terrify with my Mombie face, I love putting this on with some concealer and mascara to look alive and not scare small children. I also wear it frequently under a little powder foundation (not drugstore but it’s my favorite and was recommended by a dermatologist) when it’s super hot outside and I don’t want my makeup to melt off.
-
Revlon ColorStay Foundation
I resisted liquid foundation for years for fear of having my makeup look like it was caked on. However, I have been pleasantly surprised by this Revlon product and it is an equal dupe for the Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation for a fraction of the cost.

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Dark Circle Eraser
If you have children than you know how exhausted you get thus leaving you with oh so glamorous dark circles. This concealer goes on like a dream and covers my dark circles like a champ.
-
NYX Matte Bronzer
Was I the only one who used to use bronzer all over my face like it was a setting powder? So glad those days are behind me! But, this bronzer does a great job for countering and adding more definition to your face.
-
NYX Butter Gloss
This line of lip glosses are all named after desserts so naturally I love it. I originally saw Jaclyn Hill talk about these so I ran out and got one and haven’t turned back since. Creme Brûlée is my go to but they have a wide range of colors that will not disappoint.

Maybelline Define-a-line Eyeliner
There are a million different eyeliners on the market but I’ve been using this one for years and go back to it time after time. I hate having to sharpen a pencil and this one is retractable and goes on smooth. I’m also stuck in the 80’s (even if I was only alive for 2 years of the 80’s) and still wear eyeliner on my waterline so if you do too, you’ll live this liner.

L’Oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara
This mascara has taken the world by storm recently and definitely does not disappoint! It adds a lot of volume and length and makes my lashes pop. I’ve also heard people say it is a dupe for Benefit Better Than Sex Mascara although I haven’t personally tried Benefit to know for sure.
-
Maybelline Volum’ Express The Falsies Mascara
I’ve used this mascara for years and it’s never let me down. I like to trade-off with the L’Oreal one above and put one on as a base and use the other on top to lengthen.

E.L.F. Intense Liquid Eyeliner
Liquid liner freaked me out for years but this pen makes it 10x easier to ensure a straight, precise line with minimal mess ups. We all know how much of a pain it is when your eyeliner gets messed up!
Well there ya have it! My Top 10 Drugstore Makeup Favorites. Also, if you order any of these products online, don’t forget to sign up for Ebates! You’re leaving free money on the table for products you were going to buy anyway. Seriously, it’s the greatest invention ever.

Never been a fan of bronzer or cared much about my brows but I do intend to try the Rimmel BB Cream and 24 hr Revlon Colorstay. Thank you for the great tips!

I’ve tried quite a few of these and can say that I Maybelline Age Rewind! I have the worst dark circles (& bags le sigh) and this is a great concealor. Sometimes if I’m lucky I can find a coupon peelie on them, Win! I’ve also been a long fan of NYX, (which is also carried at Ulta, so its not reallllly drug stor-ey, for all those Sephora peeps).

I agree! NYX is like a middle of the road brand IMO
