- Can we talk about the Royal Wedding? We recorded it and watched it once we got up and I have to say I’m totally obsessed! Megan looked stunning although her 2nd dress was definitely my favorite. I still don’t think anything will top Kate’s dress for me though! Simply gorgeous. Tyler and I have talked about going to England for our 5 year anniversary next year and now we’re both even more excited to go and plan our trip. Think Kate, William, Harry and Megan will want to triple date?
- Speaking of Royals, Liam’s first name is William and we plan to name our baby girl Elizabeth Grace (Ellie for short). So currently we have a Prince William and will have a Queen Elizabeth on our hands! Apparently we really like Royal names!
- Who knew Amazon had a great selection of thank you cards?! I know I’ll be needing these in the coming months and took a gander and they have a ton to choose from that are affordable. I should never doubt Amazon.
- This weekend is Memorial Day which means the unofficial start to Summer! We have some fun stuff planned but more than anything looking forward to the pool being open! We got Liam his first floaties and he “tried them on” earlier and it was too stinking cute. He absolutely loves them and can’t wait to rock them in the pool! Oh and they’re on sale with the Cartwheel app so make sure to get the coupon if you need to get one for your little one(s)!
- I finally got our garden planted! We haven’t had a garden since we moved into this house 3 years ago this weekend (my how time flies!) so I’m starting small with just tomatoes, basil and cucumbers. Next year I’ll add another bed like this one to add some squash, another tomato plant and jalapeños!
- Why are maternity jumpsuits a thing? I just can’t see how they would be flattering no matter how cute and pregnant you are. I saw this one at Target and was tempted to try it on but I heard Fat Amy in my head from Pitch Perfect saying “Mmm better not.”
- I absolutely love everything about being pregnant and don’t mind the aches and pains that come with it (someone remind me of this in August when I’m the size of a house). However, maternity clothes just aren’t as cute as non-maternity and I’m definitely looking forward to getting my body back this fall so I can get back into all of the super cute styles I’m seeing.
- Also while Summer pregnancies are long and hot, there is definitely something to be said for having a baby in September. It’s still warm but it’s also right in time for Fall and cozy sweaters to cover up the postpartum mombod. All hail oversized sweaters!
I agree; I almost liked her second dress more! I love the floaties; I just recently had a baby so have been looking at all of the summer/beach gear as well. Also, great to know about the thank you notes! You always need these on hand and even better if with Amazon shipping!
Jumpsuits are a NO, whether maternity jumpsuit or not. You made the right choice!!
