- We are expecting more snow and ice this week and I’m just not interested. Like at all. Unless it gets me out of work. That’s the only thing that makes all of the mess it makes worth it. Is it Spring yet?
- Thankfully we are *knock on wood* out of the woods with Germapalooza 2017. But while we were in the thick of it, I made a big ole pot of homemade Chicken Noodle Soup and grilled cheeses for the boys. Literally I made like 6 grilled cheese sandwiches in like 24 hours which made me want to share a little tip that I acquired from Tyler to make the best grilled cheese ever. Are you ready for it? Mayonnaise! Seriously, instead of putting butter on the bread to toast the outside of the bread, slather on some mayo on the and prepare for your minds to be blown. And of course, if you try it, report back on how amazing it is!
- If you made food resolutions for 2018, or even if you haven’t yet but want to, these are some great ideas. If you don’t meet them all 100% of the time, give yourself some grace. Sometimes pizza happens and that’s ok. Start fresh again tomorrow.
- So I mentioned in my Gift Guide for Her for Christmas that I wanted these shoes. My family took my (not so subtle hints) and got them for me and then they ended up being super narrow! I do not have narrow feet so this was a major bummer for me so I just ordered these and I’m hoping they’re not quite as narrow. I’m a loyal Nike wearer and have never run into this problem so fingers crossed they fit like a glove!
- After taking down Christmas our house felt so bare. Like it was lacking the cheer and joy Christmas brings. So naturally I went to Hobby Lobby and picked out a magnolia garland for our mantle and I’m so glad I did! It fits our style so well plus it makes me feel like it’s (almost) springtime! Just my personal taste though, I doubled up with 2 garlands and layered them for added fullness. And they were half off so it’s basically BOGO. And if you order online you can get 2% cash back. You’re welcome.
- After being cooped up in the house all weekend, we’re in desperate need of something fun to do as a family this weekend that doesn’t involve being in our house. Any ideas? I was debating Romp ‘n Roll but that’s really only fun for Liam…
- I put something out on Instagram a week or so ago but I want to cut cable because it’s way too freaking expensive. We’re TV people though and keep up with way more shows than I’d like to admit. Our biggest hangups are: A) being able to livestream sports and B) being able to DVR. We literally live by our DVR so that is a big one for us. It appears that Sling is our best option since we can pick the channels we want and pay an extra $5 for DVR but I’m so nervous we’ll lose channels we love or the access we have through cable. Help me!!
- Complete millennial thing here but I didn’t know any of these. I used to watch Freaky Friday on repeat (ummm can you say Chad Michael Murray?) and can’t picture Lindsay Lohan being goth at all. And now I want to binge watch all of these movies.
- For whatever reason, we started using ground chicken for our tacos a while back and stuck with it. These Cilantro Lime Chicken Meatball Bowls sound amazing (and fairly light!) for a way to mix up the usual tacos. Adding these to our rotation next week!
- Speaking of which, do y’all eat the same meals at least once a week? We almost always have tacos on the menu because it’s such a quick and easy weeknight meal. What are your go to meals?
