Happy Tuesday y’all! I hope your week is off to a great start so far! As you’ll notice, the blog got a facelift over the weekend! The site should be much easier to navigate but if you have any specific feedback, please let me know in the comments! Now, without further adieu, here is this week’s Let’s Talk Tuesday!
- While Christmas is still a ways out, I love Christmas and can’t wait to decorate the house. And for Hallmark Christmas movies to start next week! Thinking of decorating, how cute are some of these Southern towns at Christmas? We’re lucky to live less than an hour from Colonial Williamsburg and it is really pretty at Christmas but I think I need to go to Seaside, FL to see their decorations. Beach and Christmas? Sign me up!
- If you’re local and are addicted to Pottery Barn like I am, there is a Pottery Barn Warehouse Sale in Fredericksburg this upcoming weekend! It is their opening weekend and I cannot wait! Not that I am really in the market for anything at the moment but I’ll use any excuse I can get to shop at Pottery Barn.
- As we ramp up for Halloween next week, I’m getting super excited to dress Liam up for his first Halloween that he’ll actually be somewhat able to understand. I hope he enjoys it and isn’t terrified. Here’s to hoping!
- Can someone make this for me but omit the raisins? It sounds like the perfect Fall dish!
- We are major taco lovers and observe Taco Tuesday every week (except for last night when we had them on Monday because I forgot to put meat in the crock pot…whoops). Liam is following in our footsteps with his love for (deconstructed) tacos and I need to get him this shirt asap!
- We are starting the final countdown to our vacation and I am getting soooo excited. Since we’ve never travelled on a plane with Liam I am in the market for a few last-minute items to make traveling easier. Most importantly, while we love our BOB, it’s huge and not lightweight by any means. Let me know your favorite light weight strollers that will be easy to gate check below!
- I love a good seasonal drink and this sounds delicious and with a lot of things we typically already have on hand. Just need to pick up some hard cider. I’ll definitely be whipping this up this weekend!
- Fun fact – Tyler and I had a bourbon fountain at our wedding because he loves bourbon so much! He didn’t want input on much for the wedding but that was his sticking point. My step dad custom-made it and it was the talk of the wedding. We’ve talked about breaking it out for Halloween the past few years and setting it up for the parents to snag a drink while they’re walking around so we’ll see if we actually do this year. Given Halloween is a Tuesday I’m thinking it’s not very likely.
- Since Hocus Pocus aired on Thursday night and I dvr’d, I have literally watched it 4 times. Liam has even started sitting and watching with me. Start ’em young folks! Oh and my husband is already annoyed with me for keeping it on repeat. Sorry not sorry.
- Back in the day I used to love going to Blockbuster and picking out scary movies to watch. Like I’ve seen all the Halloween movies although Halloween H20 is by far my favorite solely because of Josh Hartnett before he got weird. Whenever I see a trailer for a scary movie now though I’m like yep nope not gonna see that! I even jump at crime shows these days. Does this mean I’m getting old??

#4, I made something similar to this, but not as healthy, last night. Honest! I get Kroger coupons in the mail and they sometimes include recipes. It was pasta with brussell sprouts and bacon (I substituted prosciutto) with alfredo sauce. It was yummy!
