- With everything that happened on Sunday evening in Las Vegas, I am so thankful for our safety in this crazy world we live in. I pray that we all can band together and shed more kindness over our country which is more divided than ever.
- Noooooooooo! Fixer Upper is ending after this upcoming season! Along with the rest of America, I love Chip and Joanna and will be sad to see this show go. Now, I need to make plans to go to Waco and go to the Silos and hopefully catch a glimpse of them!
- Hallelujah for Fall TV! I always forget how boring Summer TV is until everything comes back in the summer and we suddenly have a billion shows to watch. You won’t hear me complaining though! The first episode of Grey’s? OMG I die.
- We love Trader Joe’s in our house and this makes me love them even more. We can eat our weight in their White Cheddar Cheese puffs. And they have the best shaving cream ever!
- Kicking off our Fall Bucket list, we went apple picking yesterday. It was a gorgeous day filled with apple cider donuts and an apple slushy. Why is it you can eat like a dozen apple cider donuts and still be hungry 20 minutes later? I’ll also be eating apples for the next month and it is going to be glorious!
- Have you heard of Pumpkin Spice Cough Drops? I hadn’t until yesterday. I can’t say I’ll be running out to grab them though…seems a bit too much to me, no?
- Speaking of pumpkin though, I would love to try this pumpkin pasta. I always think of it as a more sweet food but I’d love to try it in a savory dish.
- It actually finally feels like fall around here! Even though it’s still in the 70’s during the day, it’s nice and cool in the evenings and we even used our fire pit over the weekend which was so nice!
- If you follow my Instagram Stories, I shared how much I love this Mario Badesco Cucumber Cleansing Lotion. I love using makeup remover wipes at night and, if I’m feeling lazy and don’t want to wash my face, I will use this on a cotton round to take off any last remnants of my makeup. Takes off everything and smells good too!
- Like most people, we spend a lot of money on food each month and end up wasting a lot of it. Or, we shop for the week, keeping to our budget, and then stop at the store later in the week to get a few other items which adds up overtime. I’ve been following Jordan from Fun Cheap or Free for years but she’s really motivated me recently to get our grocery budget in check ($75 a week which is a huge cut for us) and still try to stock up and have a good, stocked pantry while doing it. Wish us luck!
