Hey hey and Happy Tuesday! We had a nice break from the oppressive heat this weekend which was greatly appreciated! We got to snuggle up with a friend’s new baby, spend some time with family and hit up the 25th anniversary lawn party at our country club in perfect 85 degree weather. Hopefully y’all have great weekends too!
Without further adieu, let’s get into today’s Let’s Talk Tuesday!
- I am working on a few fun projects at the moment but I like planning out my content in advance and I want to know what you want to see! Leave me a comment or send me an email and let me know what you’d like to see more of here on TBMB!
- Apparently I’ve been making my mashed potatoes wrong my entire life? I always added heavy cream at the end…Thank you Tyler Florence for teaching us your ways! Watch out Thanksgiving, I’m coming for ya!
- I’ve recently started making my own pickled jalapeños using this recipe and they are literally so much better than the store bought ones. And so easy! I don’t think we’ll be buying them again anytime soon.
- Our house has been plagued with a summer cold (ugh!) and I’m currently sitting with a box of Vicks tissues as I right this. Liam can’t use those though (he just uses me as a human tissue) so I have been using this Babyganics Vapor Bubble Bath to help get all the gunk out. It smells exactly like Vicks and is wonderful if you just run the bath and shut the door so you can breath in the menthol scent to open you up. Highly recommend it!
- Related to the above, I’ve spoken about our struggles with sleep before, and with Liam not feeling well we’ve had two nights of wake ups at 4:30 and Liam won’t settle back down unless he’s snuggled up with yours truly. Is it Friday yet? My bags have bags I’m so tired.
- Am I the only person in America who just can’t get into Game of Thrones? I’ve watched a few episodes with Tyler and it’s just not my cup of tea. But I know I’m in the vast minority with that one.
- It’s that time of year again – the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale time. And I think I only purchased one compact from MAC during the whole thing. Am I so super lame? I’ve seen 3402580394 posts about it on social media but just didn’t have the urge to go shop. Who am I??
- This is for all my fellow bloggers out there. In the last week I discovered StumbleUpon and how much traffic it can drive to my blog. Seriously, I got over 100 view from StumbleUpon within the first 2 hours of posting something. I couldn’t believe it! Definitely check it out if you are a blogger. And here is a how-to-guide I found if you’re not sure where to start.
- I’m preparing to send out Liam’s birthday party invitations and am struggling with it. How is he almost ONE? Like one whole, entire year old. Ugh, why does time go so fast?
- So basic but is it too soon to start buying pumpkin spice everything? I reeeeeally want this Pumpkin Spice Peanut Butter.
