Thanking you to Brandefy for sponsoring this post! As always, all opinions are 100% my own.
Y’all know I love a good deal and will always share my tips and tricks for saving a few bucks at the store when I can. Well, have you ever wondered whether or not the store brand is actually the same product, or at least close to the same, as the name brand? Well today I am here to help you with that!
I frequently buy the store brand to save a couple bucks but often wondered if I was actually getting the same quality product and a true “dupe” when purchasing the store brand.
Enter Brandefy! They have taken the guess-work out of whether or not you are getting the same product or not while outlining any differences through the convenience of an app! So now, when you’re strolling through the aisles of Target and are curious if purchasing the Up and Up brand version of the Neutrogena Eye Make Up Remover is truly the same (news flash: they’re 95% the same!), you can check their app to see if you’re getting the best deal.
Brandefy is working on covering the full store so everything from food items to health and beauty to cleaning products are available in the app. They even cover stores like Ulta and compare cosmetics!
They’re still working on adding items to the app but I have found it super helpful to check out items we currently use at our house (i.e.: Clorox wipes vs. Great Value) and see if they’re a good match to the name brand. 9 times out of 10 from my observation, it seems the main difference in a lot of the items is the packaging of the store brand product seems to be a little cheaper and/or the scent is different. In some instances, the ingredients are literally the exact same. So it’s the same product just in different containers!
I personally find this whole process fascinating and love knowing where to save my money and where to splurge. If you’re interested in checking them out too, head to the app store to download the Brandefy App! Also, if you’re local to Richmond, so is Brandefy so be sure to give them a little extra love!

This sounds really neat. I’ll have to check it out. Sometimes you can save a lot of money for good products that are generic.

Heck yes! It’s really eye opening to see what’s almost exactly the same for a fraction of the price.
