It’s already the middle of November (how?!) and it’s time to start shopping for the holidays! Today I’m kicking off my gift guides with my Babies and Toddler’s gift guide. Most of these are things we already own but a few things are on the kid’s gift lists this year.
I’m partnering with my friend Lauren from Gabbing Ginger to share all of our gift guides over the next week or two so be sure to head over to her blog post and check out her kids gift guide!
Melissa and Doug Ice Cream set
I listed this in last year’s gift guide and I would have never imagined how much Liam loved this! He loves to play ice cream shop and now Ellie loves it too! Very high quality and can withstand Liam’s rough play. I would buy this again and again.
KidKraft Kitchen
We upgraded to this kitchen for the kid’s birthdays this year. The ice maker and stove both make noise which the kids love and is big enough that they can both play together. Fair warning though, assembling this is like assembling a piece of IKEA furniture. It’s worth it but I don’t suggest waiting until 10:00pm on Christmas Eve to put it together. Also, we have it in white but the dark wood option is $40 cheaper right now!
Ryan’s World Treasure Chest
If your kid(s) are as obsessed with Ryan Toys Review as Liam is, I’m sure this is on your radar too! Liam saw a commercial for it and then saw it again in Target and hasn’t stopped talking about it since. It’s pricey but I’m sure the kids will love it!
Frozen II Sven
Strike this up to another commercial Liam saw but he has not stopped talking about this “Carrot Sven” since he saw it. We’re big Sven friends around here! While this one doesn’t walk, he does talk and make noises and can hold up to 70lbs which is great because Liam is already the size of a 5-year-old.
Follow-me-friend Olaf
Damn you Target for having a Frozen II display right at the front entrance! Liam saw this and immediately asked for it to be put on his Christmas list. Olaf sings and talks and has a light-up controller which I’m sure will be a lot of fun in the dark!
Jump house
My MIL bought this for us and I initially was hesitant thinking we’d never use it. Boy was I wrong! Whenever the weather is nice and we don’t have any other plans, we’ll set this up in the backyard and let the kids get their crazies out. They absolutely love it! This one is bigger if you have older kids but the size we have is perfect for our kids at this age.
Crayola Color Wonder paper/markers/paint
If you are a parent and haven’t tried Color Wonder products, I’m not sure what you’re waiting for! They have a special formulation with the paper and markers or paint that allows them to not have color transfer onto clothes, furniture, walls, etc. Genius I tell you!
TeePee
Our kids LOVE this TeePee! If we’re upstairs and Ellie runs out of our room, she is almost always playing in the TeePee in Liam’s room. Thinking she needs a pink one for her room this year!
Cabbage Patch Doll
Ellie LOVES this doll! She carries it around and hugs it and sometimes takes the paci out and puts it back in repeatedly. They’re also super nostalgic for me as I used to have one as a kid.
Babydoll Stroller
Inspired by the above, I know Ellie will love a stroller for her babydoll this year! She loves to push our play lawnmower and shopping cart so I’m sure this will be no different!
