Play Shopping Cart
I’m honestly debating getting this for Ellie. Obviously she can’t play with it yet but Liam loves playing with his kitchen so I’m sure he’d love playing with this too until she’s old enough to play along with him. This is a more gender neutral option that is super sturdy and sure to stand the test of time and that brand is our favorite. These would be great paired with some play food so they can play grocery store. We got Liam this food set for Christmas last year and it has held up so well and we got him this set for Christmas this year.

Play Kitchen
This is easily one of Liam’s favorite toys we own and I am sure it will be a favorite with Ellie too once she’s old enough. You can get the fancy wooden ones that go better with your decor but I think Liam’s favorite part about the one we have is that it makes noises when he puts either the coffee pot or skillet on the burner.

Activity Jumper
Any parent will tell you these things are like gold for babies! Once they have good head control, they absolutely need one of these. Ellie literally does not stop moving her legs so I am super excited to give her this for Christmas. We also have this one which is great and makes fun animal noises. Personally, we like to have one upstairs and one downstairs so they can be occupied at all times when you need free hands but also stay in one place.
-
Bristle Blocks
These are on a list I have for our friends and family for Liam. He’s played with them before at a friend’s house and absolutely loved them. They’re a great STEM and sensory toy for kids so you can feel good about their little brains being developed while these are scattered all across your floor.
-
Amazon Fire Kids Tablet
We actually don’t have a Fire Tablet for Liam (he uses a suuuuuper old iPad) but once the iPad bites the dust I think we’ll get him one of these. They have amazing parental control settings and you can set screen time limits so your kid doesn’t just sit and watch other kids play with toys on YouTube all day.
-
Paw Patrol anything
I literally have no idea how Liam started liking Paw Patrol. We are a Disney Jr. family and I pretty much never turn on Nick Jr. for him but all the sudden he started talking about Paw Patrol and knows all of the characters names so he’s getting Paw Patrol anything and everything. Now that I’m looking for it though, it’s literally everywhere! Paw Patrol toothbrushes, pajamas, toys, blankets, you name it, they have it! We got him this and this along with some stickers for his stocking so far and have this and this on his list for family.
-
Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head
An oldie but goodie. Liam knows Potato Head from Toy Story but he also has watched YouTube videos of people playing with one and it’s hard to go wrong with a Mr. Potato Head and they have a ton of options for different accessories for them now so you can build on them.
-
Wooden Blocks
Truth be told, the last thing I want in my house is more blocks but he absolutely loves building stuff. These are a classic wooden toy that will stand up against rough play and will absolutely be played with for years to come.
-
Play Cleaning set
Don’t judge me for this one but this is another one of Liam’s favorite toys. Better to teach them early, am I right? My Mom got this for him for Christmas last year because he loved (and still loves) to grab our Swiffer and broom to help us clean but he’d end up whacking it against the wall/fridge/me/etc. and these are perfectly kid sized. They can also become a weapon or a hairbrush from time to time but it’s definitely a favorite at our house.

Indoor Slide
While Liam is now too big for it, although he doesn’t know it, this is still a favorite of his. We had this in our living room for a while and he would go down it over and over and over again. Seriously, endless entertainment. I can’t wait for Ellie to be big enough to use it too now that Liam is almost as long as the slide is.
